1 teaspoon brewed espresso (even better if it's MTL Latte Heart Classic Espresso!)
1 tablespoon sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
½ teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
1 cup flour
Pinch of salt
Butter and olive oil for cooking
Mascarpone Cream
1 cup mascarpone cheese
2 tablespoons powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon brewed espresso
Topping & Garnish
Cocoa powder or powdered sugar (for dusting)
Maple syrup
Step 1: Prepare the Dry & Wet Mixtures
Dry Mixture:
In a shallow dish, mix together:
1 cup flour
½ teaspoon cinnamon
Pinch of salt
Wet Mixture:
In a separate bowl, whisk together:
4 medium eggs
1 tablespoon milk
1 teaspoon brewed espresso
1 tablespoon sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Step 2: Coat & Cook the French Toast

Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat and add a mix of butter and olive oil.
Take a slice of thick bread and first coat it in the dry mixture, ensuring a light, even layer.
Then, dip the bread into the wet egg mixture, letting any excess drip off.
Place the coated bread on the hot pan and cook for 2-3 minutes per side, until golden brown and slightly crispy.
Repeat for all slices, then set them aside.
Step 3: Make the Mascarpone Cream
In a bowl, whisk together:
1 cup mascarpone cheese
2 tablespoons powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon brewed espresso
Mix until smooth and creamy. For a softer texture, add a teaspoon of milk or cream.
Step 4: Assemble the Three-Layered Tiramisu French Toast
Layer 1:
Place one slice of French toast on a serving plate.
Spread a generous layer of mascarpone cream on top.
Layer 2:
Place another slice of French toast over the first layer.
Spread another layer of mascarpone cream.
Layer 3:
Add the final slice of French toast on top.
Drizzle lightly with maple syrup.
Dust with cocoa powder or powdered sugar.
Step 5: Serve & Enjoy!

Serve immediately to enjoy the crispiness and warmth of the French Toast, and cool mascarpone cream.

Pair with a delicious latte for the perfect coffee-lover's brunch experience!
